This is information, which is not collected to be associated with identified parties but which, by its very nature, through processing and association with data retained by third parties, could allow the user to be identified. This data category includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the website, addresses in URI format (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of requests, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the response file, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (success, error, etc.), and other parameters concerning the user’s OS and IT environment. With special consideration of the subscription to the newsletter, Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter a of the E.U. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legal basis for the processing of the data (“the data subject has given his consent to the processing of his personal data for one or more specific purposes”). Cookies

Regulated according to Article 13 of the E.U. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) What are COOKIES? Cookies are short text files containing small amounts of information and which are downloaded onto your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are then transmitted to the website from which they originate whenever you visit it in the future – or to other websites which then recognize the cookie. Cookies are useful because the websites can then recognize the devices of individual users (incl., e.g., passwords, the preferred language, the font size, and other display options). Cookies thus enable a website to adjust to your preferences so that you don't have to re-enter them every time. Cookies are therefore employed to carry out computer-authentications, monitor visits, and observe the behavior of visitors to the website. They may also contain a unique identification code employed for statistical purposes, advertising, or tracking the user's navigation through the website. While navigating on the website, you may also receive on your computer or mobile device cookies from other websites or webservers (see "Third-Party Cookies"). Some functions may be impaired or inoperative without cookies; thus, in some instances, they are necessary for the proper functioning of the website. There are different kinds of cookies. Depending upon their specific properties and functions, they may be stored on your computer or on your mobile device for varying lengths of time. In the case of so-called "session" cookies, they are automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser. In the case of so-called "permanent" cookies, they will remain on your device up to a specified point in time. According to statutory regulations currently in effect in Italy, the use of cookies does not always require the user's explicit consent. In particular so-called "technical" cookies – used to transmit messages via an electronic communication network or to provide a service which the user has expressly requested – do not require consent. In other words, these are indispensible cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the website or for activities which the user requests. The government agency responsible for protecting personal data considers the following types of cookies to not require the user's explicit consent (see also Prov.Gen. "Recognition of simplified procedures for information and obtaining consent for the use of cookies – May 8, 2014"):

  • "Analytical cookies" which are directly employed by the website operator to collect information about the number and behavior of users for the website, itself,
  • Cookies for navigation or visits (for authentication necessary to make a purchase, etc.),
  • Functional cookies: These cookies enable the users to navigate on the basis of a series of selected functions (e.g., language preferences, merchandise selected for purchase) with the intention of enhancing the convenience and functionality of the website.

In the case of cookies designed to create user profiles or to send advertising, the user's consent must first be obtained and will be compatible with his preferences as displayed by his navigation. What kind of cookies do we use?

We are not using any profiling cookies or third party cookies.

In particular this website uses:

  • technical cookies, which are neccessary for the proper functioning of the website and the utilization of our contents and services (session and function cookies);
  • analysis cookies, which are used to survery anonymized aggregated data concerning the usage of our website (e.g. number of users, visited websites, time spent on our website)
